Music for the art exhibit "Prayer & Wisdom" - an ambitious project responding to the Psalms and Proverbs.

Both songs - "Lament" and "Peace" - played simultaneously on loop on opposite sides of the gallery throughout the duration of the exhibit. I wanted to create two different songs that could play at the same time in harmony and still have very different moods and aims in mind. The book of Psalms in the Bible shows that humanity is invited to bring all of our emotions and experiences before God, no matter how heartbroken or beautiful or confused they may be. The ambient and beatless backbone of drones draws us to stillness and reflection. All of the other sonic mess in these songs is life with all of its glory and defeat. Ultimately, it's all brought before God who has responded with the cross of Christ.

If you're expecting verse-chorus-verse songs, prepare to be disappointed. This music is intended to help the clock slow down so that you can reflect on the infinite.
